    Rund um den toten Pfirsichbaum

    30.5.–20.6.2025

Stefanie Hintersteiner, Veronika Dirnhofer, Simon Nagy, (Peach) Gardens, Sebastian Kraner, maria mercedes, + Intervention by 1zwei3

In front of the exhibition space, there once stood a peach tree – now it’s gone, and in its place grows the opportunity for reflection.

    30.5.2025 • 16:00–20:00
    Opening of the exhibition
    Stefanie Hintersteiner
    „Zurück zum Beton“

The exhibition invites to reflect on the role of art as a space of possibility: Can aesthetic imagination serve as a point of escape – or even as a call to action in times of political and ecological crisis?
“Back to concrete, disgust disgust nature nature
Man is but the purest enemy of man!”

    30.5–1.6. • 14:00–18:00
Part of Independent Space Index Festival

With more than 50 freely accessible exhibitions and events all over town, the yearly festival, hosted by the Viennese project spaces, celebrates the distinctive vibrancy, complexity and diversity of Vienna’s independent art scene.

    31.5. • 16:00
    Talk

Veronika Dirnhofer, Stefanie Hintersteiner and Simon Nagy

A conversation between three artists about an absent tree and the role of voids and memory.

    Music

    (Peach) Gardens

PEACH GARDENS are 2/4 of the Vienna-based band GARDENS, who released their debut album on Siluh Records in autumn 2024. Blending indie pop, 60s psych folk, and dream pop, they made multiple appearances in the FM4 charts and toured across Europe. As a duo, Luca and Peter reinterpret their songs – or not – create atmosphere – or not – know exactly what they're doing – or not – all under an imaginary peach tree...

    14.6. • 20:00
    Shortfilmscreening

    Curated by Sebastian Kraner

Of unsteady dance steps and tracing hands. Of endangered ecosystems and brittle masculinity. Four short films take us into very different worlds and celebrate the beauty of fragility.

    Performance

    „shining rose“

A dance performance by maria mercedes (Julia Müllner, Camilla Schielin und Yoh Morishita) where fiction, gossip, secrets, and truth blur into one another. The unifying element is the rose: a symbol and means of communication, both wild and cultivated, embodying softness and strength alike. The piece premiered at brut Vienna in late March 2025.

    20.6. 19:00–22:00
